As we move through this strange and unique Holy Week, together but separated, Brenton and Becca have assisted me to put together the attached ‘family’ meal suggestion for Maundy Thursday. It is on Maundy Thursday that Jesus shared the Passover meal with his disciples and he instituted what is sometimes called the Lord’s Supper or Holy Communion at that meal. It may be that you would like to follow the sheet through exactly as it’s presented, or it may be that it suits you better just to pick some of the suggestions to use on Thursday evening.
We suggest that everyone tries to begin their meal at around 6 pm and then to be mindful that we are all eating together, but separated.
Whether you follow the whole meal through, or whether you simply follow a part of it, I hope and pray that this ‘shared’ meal will help to make Maundy Thursday a special time for us all this year.
I hope and pray that you are all keeping safe and well.
