Dear Friends,

August has been an exceptionally busy month in the Food Cupboard. As expected we have been sending out a number of extra boxes on a regular basis to families with children who would normally receive free school meals. While this accounts for some of the extra boxes needed it doesn't account for all of them; sadly the need for help is not showing any signs of decreasing.

Thank you all so much for your support and the continuing supply of food that comes in week by week. It is so rewarding to come into the food cupboard and see the donations that have arrived day by day. With demand as high as it is we really need all the standard items that we put into the boxes but in particular we are frequently running out of cereals, tinned meats and jam at the moment. Additionally as we move into the autumn we will be needing more tins of soup as we use more of these once the colder weather arrives.

Thank you all again for your support.

Ann Gibbs
Co-ordinator
