West Somerset Food Cupboard -

West Somerset Food Cupboard Newsletter
May 2018

Food parcels since the project began in 2007 - 10,740
Food parcels so far this year - 820

Dear Friends,

As I write this we are about to have the building work started in the food cupboard.

Until recently we had a good stock of most food stuffs but now stocks are beginning to run low again and we are very grateful for any donations we receive. We still have plenty of beans and fish but everything else is needed. I am including the list again here in case people are not sure. Please spread the word!
We need:
Tinned Soups
Tinned fruit
Tinned spaghetti
Tinned tomatoes
Cereal
Tinned potatoes, peas, carrots and other veg.
Tinned custard or pudding rice
Tinned cold and hot meats
Pasta, Pasta sauce
Rice
Sweet and Savoury biscuits
Tea, coffee, sugar
Long life milk
Fruit juice.
Jam or marmalade

I am very grateful to the people in the Church at Alcombe who support us so well and often volunteer in the food cupboard as well. They are inspiration to me in the way in which they reach out to the wider community through this enterprise. I hope the building work will not be too much of a disruption for them.

Ann Gibbs
Co-ordinator
