Food parcels so far this year - 1500

Dear Friends,

At the end of a very busy month the first thing I need to say to all of you is a huge thank you! We have received so many donations following harvest festivals in churches and schools and it means that we have almost full cupboards again - at least for a while. But the demand has also been high and that means that our supplies will decrease quickly. Certain items are still needed despite all the items that have come in. Each week at the moment we are having to stock up on the following products: tinned potatoes, long life milk, fruit juice and cold meats.

Now as November begins our thoughts are turning to Christmas and the extras that we like to include in the food parcels that go out for this time of year. We are beginning to collect boxes of biscuits and sweets, Christmas puddings and other festive products to fill medium sized gift bags which we can send out with our usual boxes when we get to Christmas. Any donations of these items plus things like chutneys, tins of ham etc. would be very welcome to help make Christmas a little more special for people who have very little.

Thank you all again for your support.

Ann Gibbs
Co-ordinator
